We knocked it up in a few hours one Sunday afternoon a couple of weeks ago, partly to test our skills against HQ’s main site, and partly to prove a point to a certain clown that this is really an uncompetitive search with only a few decent sites in the running, and that we could duplicate the results of his 6 months worth of article spamming and horrendous index-page body text in just few weeks, using actual superior seo techniques.
Just because you say you are, does not make it so, and especially when no-one else is really trying.
That’s all about to change now, several other reputable SEOs are now joining the fray and the Clown Prince of SEO Modesto is going to need a new “marketing” strategy all too soon.
After his wordpress splogs have been shut down for TOS violations (spamming is against their TOS funnily enough) it would appear that this [update - link removed gone now] is where he is now conducting his imaginary “battles” in his head about these terms, because apart from a few blog posts (like 7 in total over 3 months) and a couple of static site pagetitle changes a while ago, nothing else has been done on our side whatsoever to “defend” these terms.
The position changes in our favour again are just normal Google flux
..but the Clown Prince doesnt even understand the global nature of Google these days, nor the fact that only US searchers (gl=us in search string) even see the results he thinks he has, and funnier still is convinced there are “mighty battles” going on.. lol!!
- ok, so we may have “let him think we did it” but really, apart from a few blog posts, we really did nothing this whole time.. ..apart from laughing, LOTS of laughing..
Granted spec ops did get a bit irked at his mis-quoting our main site in his article campaign but we are resisting the temptation to just bomb him out of the water with external links, because better link resources, although still superior SEO, isn’t really fair, and believe it or not, we do try to be fair in our dealings, even with clowns.
