So here’s a Wordpress website rebuild project that makes the best use of our adopted name – The SBS, which usually stands for Special Boat Service, the ultimate Seaborne Special Forces Unit comprised of the best-of-the-best of the UK Royal Marines Commandos, who are actually special forces in their own right anyway.

The SBS’s Power & motor boat handling skills are legendary although they’re not known for their use of sailing yachts, (except perhaps while on R & R)

..Obviously in our case though the “SBS” stands for “Small Business SEO” but if you’re on the opposing team the effect will be much the same, the sniper will sneak up to your SERP perimeter undetected, and then in a flash will take out your sentries and smash into and secure your previous position

It’s also not finished -pictures etc (as usual the SBS have to go into action without proper prep and just get on with it) but the DNS switched across this morning, the SERP assault starts now, commence radio silence until the positions are secured..

A Pink Sniper?

Ok this one’s in our gallery already but is officially launching today and (maybe not so ) coincidentally hit Google first page for it’s main target phrase today, “Ibiza weddings” and is currently #11 for the singular.

This is likely to be unique in that we expect the sniper team won’t be making too many more bright pink sites, but who knows…

True to form the site has been generating inquiries before launch and handover, and judging by the fast first page response we’re expecting big things from this..

So it’s February already and if you’ve been here before you’ve probably noticed we’ve had a slight re-design and a new. and some might say superior, Wordpress theme.

Now while it is true that we can and do build our SBS Sniper wordpress web design sites using any theme specified, there are some which make our job very much easier than others..

.. and this is one of them.

We’re still in that “putting it on all our own sites” stage but are going to have to start shelling out the $40 a client all too soon now..

The built-in SEO options on Thesis are so good, we’ve been running it on a couple of test sites with no SEO plugins installed at all, which does feel a bit odd as we’re Wordpress SEO Specialists and are used to having all the plug-in technology blazing, but the best-of-breed configuration options that come as standard really do allow for a very tight SEO setup indeed, without installing anything else SEO-related at all.

We knocked it up in a few hours one Sunday afternoon a couple of weeks ago, partly to test our skills against HQ’s main site, and partly to prove a point to a certain clown that this is really an uncompetitive search with only a few decent sites in the running, and that we could duplicate the results of his 6 months worth of article spamming and horrendous index-page body text in just few weeks, using actual superior seo techniques.

Just because you say you are, does not make it so, and especially when no-one else is really trying.

That’s all about to change now, several other reputable SEOs are now joining the fray and the Clown Prince of SEO Modesto is going to need a new “marketing” strategy all too soon.

After his wordpress splogs have been shut down for TOS violations (spamming is against their TOS funnily enough) it would appear that this [update - link removed gone now] is where he is now conducting his imaginary “battles” in his head about these terms, because apart from a few blog posts (like 7 in total over 3 months) and a couple of static site pagetitle changes a while ago, nothing else has been done on our side whatsoever to “defend” these terms.

The position changes in our favour again are just normal Google flux

..but the Clown Prince doesnt even understand the global nature of Google these days, nor the fact that only US searchers (gl=us in search string) even see the results he thinks he has, and funnier still is convinced there are “mighty battles” going on.. lol!!

- ok, so we may have “let him think we did it” but really, apart from a few blog posts, we really did nothing this whole time.. ..apart from laughing, LOTS of laughing..

Granted spec ops did get a bit irked at his mis-quoting our main site in his article campaign but we are resisting the temptation to just bomb him out of the water with external links, because better link resources, although still superior SEO, isn’t really fair, and believe it or not, we do try to be fair in our dealings, even with clowns.

4 Month Tactical Sitrep

Sniper team reporting in.

Progress good. We’re deeply embedded behind enemy lines and are now outranking HQ’s 18 month old site with our 4 month old sniper as below.

We’ve observed and engaged the enemy at multiple locations with strong success and primary objectives have been achieved on Yahoo & Windows Live

- see thumbnails for details.

Below is the secondary objective, all of the sites below us in the screenshot are strong, well dug-in and reinforced, respected SEO & web design sites and have been around several years, but are no match for modern sniper technology.

And ultimately this is where we’re going with this..

Yahoo leading the way as always, Google will follow on in due course.

Also note our SEO Malta sniper sister-site (launched same weekend) 3 places below in the same search there, despite entirely different site structure and content, except for the packages pages which have the same package specs.

The Sniper-fu is strong..

Exactly 1 week to the day it was indexed, our new site is back firmly at Google #1 for *SEO Design Package* – also shown in the Google webmaster tools screenshot below, and is above our own “SEO Web Design” page, on a PR5 domain, (that currently ranks in the Top 30 for “SEO“) ..you can see it here at #5 in this search.

reinforcements arrive, this post now takes pole with the site page forming the 2nd dropout or “indented” listing giving us #1 & #2 and if the studies are correct, possibly as much as 80% click-through rates. You can think of this as superior SEO design in action.

..this ranking has been rock-solid, hasn’t even looked like flinching #1 & #2 since this post.

..in that time it has sold 9 of itself to strangers and 11 to referrals..
